05 Jan B&W Fiberglass and Multiple Winding
April 2015 saw the start of a new relationship in the global textile market, with the acquisition of Multiple Winding by B&W Fiberglass. Complementary in technologies – BWF specialising in beaming and texturing, MWC in plying, multi-end winding and tape weaving – the core element of both businesses are based on technical textile fibres, and principally, glass fibre.
Investment into the UK business has been significant following the purchase, and will continue to be so. Equipment and facility upgrades, stronger links with suppliers, and a major project to install a new software management system all demonstrate the commitment of both companies, to the future of Multiple Winding, and to the BWF Group.
B&W Fiberglass have very strong relationships with some key global yarn suppliers, including Fulltech Fiberglass Group in Taiwan, and Kamenny Vek, suppliers of basalt fibres in Russia. These collaborations allow both US and UK facilities to take advantage of economies of scale, without compromising partnerships with other suppliers.
The key philosophy that drives both organisations is that developing effective and constructive relationships with our customers is paramount. We understand that supporting businesses in their strategies for growth complement our own plans for growth, and we are confident that together, we will be able to provide the solution to you’re your textile fibre needs.
